Filming has begun!

I've had a lot of feedback from you all, encouraging me to go ahead with 'Pleasantview'.  I am so flattered that over a hundred people voted on my poll and 98% of you want me to continue!  So ... I started filming today.

It was a relief to see that all my files were intact and I didn't have to rebuild or reload anything.  I was also surprised that I remembered all the game cheats and the film techniques I use - like riding a bike :)  I had to purchase the latest version of Corel Video studio, which is a pleasure to edit with.  I'm having a lot of fun.

One thing though.  I can't get the resolution to look exactly the same as it did on the old computer, so the video looks just a little stretched now.  I've spent a bit of time mucking around with it, but I cannot replicate the old 'look' exactly.  But I'm happy with it, I just hope you guys are.

If you go to my new Pleasantview site you will see that I have posted Chapter One of Dina and Mortimer's Honeymoon.  I will be posting more over the coming days and weeks so check back when you can.

Ok, that's about it for now.  Thanks so much for your interest and support, it's very motivational :)  I'm going back to filming now ...

I'm Back!

Well, I never really went away.

I've had a few months off from all things sims.  I've been doing a lot of writing and have recently finished the first draft of my first novel.  It will take a long time for me to get it right before it is ready for publishing, but in the meantime, I'm thinking about returning to machinima.

I recently invested in a new computer and it is such a joy compared with my old one, the poor thing was on its last megabytes.  So the new one is a breeze and has much more capacity.  We have put a lot of games on it and it still has room for more!  I booted up The Sims 2, after copying all my saved games, and it loaded super quickly and runs smooth as silk.  So, I am considering continuing Pleasantview.  I made a new blog dedicated to the series.  I am going to put the honeymoon story there and any other bits and pieces that are relevant.  I am doing this mainly because my website is no longer available.  I have put a poll on this new blog, so if you have an opinion about whether I should continue or not then be sure to vote!  Also, let me know if you would like to see anything else on the Pleasantview blog.

Unfortunately, during the swap over of files, I managed to lose my 'Heather Crosby' game files.  The story associated with it was based on pure game play so I made the decision to simply delete it.  I do apologise to anyone who was enjoying it.

Some of you may also be wondering about Sunset Valley.  I am going to get back to it eventually but am considering marking my return to machinima with an episode of Pleasantview first.
